Our Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon represents the epitome of western Rutherford benchland terroir –exhibiting intensely saturated colors,aromas,and flavors. A perfumed bouquet of wild dark berry aromas,crushed earth,and toasty oak spice transitions to a palate brimming with classic Cabernet character. Blackberry,cassis,and black forest cake weave seamlessly with notes of wild rose,and well-integrated oak adds nuances of cedar,cinnamon,clove and caramel. The mouthfeel is saturated and supple,with a generous complexity and power. The focused “Rutherford dust” tannins are polished,broad,and round,showcasing the signature cocoa powder texture and expansive character for which Rutherford is known.
